CCBernese: This is the Home of CCBernese Mountain Dogs (since 1989.)Here you will find information on the beloved Bernese Mountain Dog. What's great about them, as well as what may be a negative factor for you in finding the perfect companion... As a Bernese Mountain Dog Breeder, I hope to provide you with more than enough information to set you on the right track. My breeding program is small. I have been involved with the breed for many more years than I have been breeding... Health, longevity, temperament, and living up to the breed standard are my main concerns. My goal in breeding is for each generation to be better than the previous. This comes from very careful planning and health screenings... ALL dogs are tested and screened for a number of hereditary disorders common in the breed, even if they are not breeding dogs! After all, if I want to keep a pup from my litter, I want it to be just as healthy as you do, and I NEED to know what I am producing and so do you! Sorry to 'disappoint' some you, others will be relieved... I do NOT sell puppies over the internet. You will not find a PayPal option for a guaranteed puppy nor for a puppy deposit on this sight. I have this site to show-off MY dogs, and hopefully educate anyone interested in the breed. This site is intended to be a resource for all Berner lovers new and old! It is filled with references and information on health, contracts and things to expect from a responsible breeder. Please choose "Consulting" in the Collar menu above, or paws at left, to seek additional information on selecting a breed/breeder and what to avoid and how you can identify the "good" breeders from the "not so good" breeders... There are a lot of breeders out there, KNOW who you are dealing with. Price (high or low) is no indication of quality when it comes to dogs! Yes, occassionally I may have puppies available, but no litters are expected at this time, and ideally all pups are more or less "spoken for" prior to breeding... Rescue is a major part of breeding. If you don't rescue, don't breed!Shy away from ANY breeder who refuses to do rescue(at least for the pups they produce!)The following pages will be completed soon...
